DESCRIPTION: Sterling Silver & Vivid Blue Enamel Snake Head Earrings ( by Margo De Taxco): Exquisite highly collectible vintage Margo de Taxco inlaid enamel snake head earrings. Margo was famous for her champlevé enamel and silver jewelry: featuring designs that were influenced by nature like waves, snakes, animals, etc,  Her original pieces are getting more difficult to find. I have never seen another pair of her earrings quite like these. I believe they were made in the ‘40s-’50s. They do show slight signs of age, but are extraordinary beautiful. Margo was European but married a Latino man and relocated to Taxco, Mexico, thus becoming known as Margo de Taxco. She designed jewelry from 1938 to the mid 1970’s.
